Yes, you can run as much as you like. The 5.4km or 54km are the minimum distance you need to clock for your respective category. We encourage you to run more so it’s easier for us to reach the target!
Unfortunately, no. You will need to complete the full distance for your category in order to receive the finisher entitlements.
There is no minimum age restriction to participate in the Run For Singapore Online Challenge 2019. Everyone of all ages and ability is welcome to join.
This is an online challenge that allows you the flexibility to run anywhere around the world and anytime during the event period. You need not to be physically presence in Singapore to participate in the Run For Singapore Online Challenge 2019 and can also help to contribute to the total mileage of 54,000km.
A Spacebib online challenge allows you the flexibility to run or walk anywhere around the world during the event period at your own pace – no specific starting time or starting place, alone or with friends and even at another race with any running app/tracker.
Any GPS-based running apps, running gadgets, smartwatches and indoor treadmills are accepted if the screenshot of your result capture the date, distance and timing of your activity.
E.g: MapMyRun, Nike+ Run Club, Strava, Garmin Connect, Runkeeper, Endomondo, Runtastic and others.
When you complete a run or walk with any running app or tracker.
Please take a screenshot or photo of the results. The screenshot needs to show the following details clearly:
1) Date of your activity*
2) Total distance clocked
3) Timing of your total activity duration
*Not mandatory for participants using treadmill
You will be able to submit your result once the race period opens.
Please log in to your Spacebib account. Head over to “My Participation” tab, click on it and you will see your registered event.
Click on the manage button to open up the event details. You will see an “Add Result” button, click on it and follow the instruction to upload your the screenshot of your result.
Once you have completed the race/challenge, a message will be shown.
Yes, you can join more than 1 category. You can use the same results screenshot/photo to upload for all the categories, as long as they are clocked during the event period.
When you sign up for this online challenge, it’s a personal commitment and responsibility to complete it. We trust that you will be honourable and hope that you will follow the rules and regulations.
If you failed to meet the requirement by the event cut off date. You would have deemed to fail to complete the online challenge. No finisher entitlements will be awarded.
We strongly encourage you to get in touch with us if you are facing any issues or concerns before the event ends. Extension of the upload period is strictly on a case by case basis.
The Basic package will generally consist of the finisher medal only.
The Classic category will have an event singlet and finisher medal.
The Premium category will have the event singlet, finisher tee, finisher medal and commemorative running coin.
All categories will have the digital race entitlements.
We believe that you will find this online challenge to be meaningful. If for any reason, you feel that you do not wish to participate in this challenge after registration, we will offer a full refund 1 week before the closing of the event registration.
Yes, please proceed to sign up for the new category and email us your previous registration so we can void and issue you a refund. However do note that changing of category can only be done before the start of the challenge.
